Atlantis Yachts, Inc., with shipyard facilities in Vancouver, B.C., Canada,
builds high-tech catamaran motor yachts that achieve the multiple goals of
cruising comfort and stability, expansive interior living spaces, and quiet,
economical operation at over 20 knot cruising speeds with little wake
disturbance. Atlantis has come up with design concepts that not only function
extremely well at sea, but look fabulous and provide luxurious
accommodations as well. Atlantis catamarans are available through the
South Florida facilities of Yacht Search, Inc., located in the Jet Center
Terminal Lobby at Fort Lauderdale International Airport. Walt Strzalkowski,
President of Yacht Search, reports keen interest in the MANTA 52 powerboat which
made its debut at the Annapolis and Fort Lauderdale boat shows. Other vessels
produced by Atlantis include a 56-footer (a "stretch"-version of the
MANTA 52 with a pilothouse), an 85' model now operating in the Caribbean,
and a 68-footer now under construction, both of which were designed by the renowned naval architect Howard Apollonio of Bellingham, Washington.

The MANTA 52 has been designed and developed over the last four years through extensive research and the input from leading designers and potential customers. The principal naval architect is Malcolm Tennant of New Zealand. Structural engineering was completed by High Modulus Inc., highly respected for its involvement with the America's Cup and round-the-world racing yachts. Click on each small photo for a larger photo. The MANTA 52 is constructed using the latest fiberglass laminating techniques, as pioneered in the aerospace industry. The hull, deck, and structural components use modified vinylester and epoxy resins with the latest stitched fiberglass cloth. All structural parts have been vacuum bagged in computer generated molds. MANTA 52 construction meets all Det Norte Veritas (DNV) classification standards. All catamarans built in the Atlantis shipyard are individually tailored to each owner's specifications. Interiors can be finished in a variety of fine hardwood paneling with the fabrics and upholstery a blend of suede and leather, and fine fabrics. Click on each small photo for a larger photo. Current production MANTA 52's are driven by twin 350 HP Yanmar diesels, set in V-drive configuration through flexible thrust bearings that power keel-protected 5-bladed propellers. Sound deadening technology and flex mounted engineering assures extremely low noise levels. Atlantis Yachts is currently perfecting installation of an optional diesel-electric drive which will provide virtually silent running at 8 to 10 knots. In the future, MANTAs will be available powered by electric fuel cells, the very latest propulsion systems for silent cruising under power ! Click on each small photo for a larger photo. Atlantis Yachts has a current capacity to build 4 to 5 vessels each year. Their staff and construction team is highly motivated to produce catamarans of only the highest quality. At the same time, management has devised methods of reducing construction costs, thus providing the new owner exceptional value for his investment.
